Cathy Langham

President and Owner, Langham

Cathy Langham’s management and marketing skills, along with nearly two decades of experience in transportation, have earned her a position of leadership within the Indianapolis community and the transportation industry.

Cathy Langham is President and owner of Langham, a transportation, logistics and information management company headquartered in Indianapolis. The other owners of this family business are her sister Margaret and brother John. Langham, which was founded in 1988, has grown more than 35% each of the past three years. In 1999, Langham teamed with Pratt Corporation to create One Source Fulfillment LLC, an inventory management, warehousing and distribution firm.

Langham began when Cathy and Margaret Langham purchased a Dynamic Air Freight franchise in 1988 and developed it into one of the fastest growing franchises in the system. Soon thereafter, they struck out on their own by forming Future Enterprises d/b/a Langham.

Cathy’s experience in transportation began following her graduation from Indiana University in 1980. She joined PIE Truck Lines because of their noted sales training program. While there, she not only learned about shipping, but also found she had a knack for solving her customer’s transportation challenges. In 1984, she left PIE to gain ownership in two other transportation franchises, Pilot Air Freight and Thurston Motor Lines.

Within the transportation industry, Cathy serves as Chairman on the Board of Directors of the Air Forwarders Association and is a member of the Council of Logistics Managers and the Indianapolis Motor Transportation Club, Inc.

Professionally, Cathy serves on the Boards of Directors of Marsh Supermarkets, Inc., Union Planters Bank, the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce and the Indianapolis Economic Development Corporation. She is a member of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization, National Association of Women in Business, Stanley K. Lacy Leadership Association and the Skyline Club.

Community involvement is a priority for Langham. Cathy, a native of Indianapolis, is President of the Board of Directors for Meals on Wheels. She supports the American Cancer Society, the Leukemia Society, the Wellness Community, and the United Way.

Cathy, Margaret and John Langham were awarded the Indiana Heartland’s 2000 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® award in the Business Services division.
