Tim Monger

Executive Director, Indiana Department of Commerce

Before joining Commerce Monger was a consultant to communities and corporations. Monger's consulting practice included facilitating peer groups for business owners, company president and CEO's.

Monger's economic development experience includes serving as senior vice president of the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association, president of the Indianapolis Economic Development Corporation, and executive assistant for economic development for Indianapolis Mayor Bill Hudnut. He is a past president of the Indiana Economic Development Association.

Monger's career includes six years in higher education management with the Center for Public Policy and Public Administrator at Purdue University. He also spent six years leading employment and training programs in Tippecanoe County.

Born and raised in Elkhart, Indiana, Monger earned both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from Purdue University. He and his wife, Kim Parente-Monger have three children.
