Doug Sunkel

Director, Supply Chain Management, Cummins, Inc.

Doug Sunkel is Director - Supply Chain Management for Cummins Inc. headquartered in Columbus, Indiana.  His responsibilities include customer order management, materials planning & inventory management, and transportation and third-party logistics operations.

Prior to this role, Doug was the operations lead during the Greenfield start-up of Cummins' 658,000 sq-ft service parts distribution center in Memphis.  He also provided user leadership to the implementation of a comprehensive logistics planning and execution system.

Doug graduated from Purdue University in 1986 with a degree in Industrial Engineering, and worked for ALCOA for 7 years before joining Cummins in 1993.  He is active in community organizations including Housing Partnerships Inc., Asbury Towers Retirement Community and the Boy Scouts of America.
